Do you like the catchy title? I was up all night thinking that one up…lol…

Despite the gloomy global financial picture at the moment, I for one remain genuinely upbeat about my own personal prospects for the coming 12 months and there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be too.

..WHY?

Because my friends, If you are into internet marketing or thinking about getting started then there is no better time, especialy if you are connected to the earn money online niche as more and more people are looking for ways to supplement their offline income and give up the tedious 9-5.

If you are not into the earn money online niche then now may be a good time to start , plus there are hundreds of thousands of new prospects surfing the net each day…

But where do I start, I hear you cry?

I was thinking the very same thing just a few years back.

I wanted to get started in internet marketing and earn money online but I had no idea where to begin.

I spent thousands on e-books and programs before I actually made my first sale.

Here’s what I learned to do and how I’m now able to earn money online every day:

1/ Create my own products entirely from scratch and have it approved by Clickbank. 

2/ How to spot hungry niches ready to to throw money at your offer and match relevant affiliate products.

3/ Use ppc and free techniques to drive tons of traffic which build my list of buyers on autopilot.

4/ Use social networking, bookmarking, article and bloging to grow my list.

4/ Implement video to my web pages to increase conversions.

Plus a helluva lot more besides. (4 weeks ago I had my first £8500 week with a new business model, more on that later).

Before I started in internet marketing I wasn’t actually sure if I would ever be at it and considered giving up many times… Not an exciting option is it?

Fast forward to present day…

A couple of weeks ago I was able to buy my first new car. OK it’s not brand new, It is a 2006 model Porsche 911 in seal grey but I was able to pay cash for it completely due to my internet marketing business.

My fortunes have been completely turned around. 

BUT..I’m not telling you this to brag…heck NO!  I’m writing this post today to help you realise that 2009 can be awsome for you too if you want to earn money online.

All you have to do is choose the correct option and follow a proven system which will save you an awful lot of time and money. If you do this then there is absolutely no reason for you to fail, none whatsoever!

A couple of interesting points here. I have noticed with interest that too many marketers tend to direct a client in a direction which does not always suit them. This is because the marketer has just released or is promoting a specific product that they need to sell without consulting the specific needs of the customer.

This is extremely important to anyone starting out because if for example you are sold a product specialising in ppc (pay per click) and you are not a particularly organised person who enjoys continuous testing and analysing data, then chances are that you may well struggle to get to grips with it and ultimately fail to earn money online.

The same can be said for product creation. If you don’t enjoy researching and writing then you won’t enjoy making your own e-book.

You need to decide what is best for you with help from someone who has been there and done it and stick to it.

So.. The credit crunch is here on a global scale and Clickbank isn’t paying out.

So what, it’s no big deal really.

The internet is big enough for us all to help others in our own way and earn some big money in the process.

I was asked yesterday about the best seo tacticts for newcomers to internet marketing.

So here’s a quick guide to getting your site some decent rankings without having to spend a fortune on paid ads.

You won’t get to No 1 on Google with these methods immediately but you will rank well and get a lot of traffic.

So here’s a few tactics that work for me and bring in hundreds of new targeted visitors every week.

Search engine optimisation.

Like I always say..

Here’s what works..

The very first thing you must to do is find your optimum keywords, short and long tail OK?

Long tail keywords are just two or three word variations on your main keywords.

For example “dog training” you might use “how to train your dog” etc.

Do this by using Wordtracker or Google’s own keyword search tool. Spend some time on this subject because this is so important. Decide on one keyword and three long tail keywords per page. NO MORE IS NEEDED!

Embed your landing page with your main keyword three or four times only. NO MORE!

Use your main keyword within the headline text of your sales letter.

Embed your long tail keywords so that it reads well. This may sound obvious but some people struggle with it.  

Submit your website to all major search engines. Google, MSN, Lycos etc.

Ensure that your sites are being “crawled” by Google and that your pages are Google friendly (not too many html errors).

Submit your url links to as many social bookmarking sites as you have time to. (this can take time without software).

Write some articles on Digg, Ezine articles, Warrior Forum and others and leave your url (signature) behind.

Leave comments on authority blogs within your niche “don’t forget the no follow rule”.

Sign up for as many social sites as you can manage and just be yourself.

Post to your blog every day or at least 3 times per week and the results will follow, guranteed.

Thanks for all your kind comments on my last post, it is very much appreciated.

I have a quick post today on a subject close to my heart which has seen me pull through the difficult times like no other.

The subject is all to do with mindset. 

Without the wrong mindset we make our goals seem further away than they really are.

When I first began my internet marketing “career” I did not find motivation a problem and developed a positive mindset from the word go.

I was always the same when I started a new business venture 

But with internet marketing I was attracted by the potential profit to be made from it but more importantly I realised the huge potential to help others.

I have read a good few books on the subject of mindset and listened to what the experts had to say about it, some where worth listening to and some weren’t.

The fact remains that if you happen to be very poor with little or no possible opportunities available for you to improve your quality of life very few gurus take this into consideration and expect the reader to be able to flip their mindset from one of pessimistic to positive like pressing a light switch.

Having been in business for over 20 years, one thing that always bothered me was the cost of advertising.

It seemed to be a constant battle to find the right balance between cost versus conversion.

I was always altering copy and tweaking it here and there to come up with the perfect advert that would some day on it’s very own magically make me rich.

This magic advert would ensure that I never needed to work again. It also meant that I could live the lifestyle of a film star, operating my business from home and only getting out of bed for no less than say $10,000.

I spent fortunes on seminars and courses and spent a ridiculous amount of time learning the science of marketing because that’s exactly what it is, a science.

So then what about the magic bullet?

Although I am a fairly decent copywriter and my advertising consistently pulls a better than average conversion I still never managed to come up with the Claude Hopkins style million dollar day ad and I was still paying through the nose for thumbnail slots.

Targeted Traffic From Social Networking

As internet marketing and social networking sites continue to grow, the possibilities to aquire free advertising are obvious. 

Nowadays we are all familiar with Facebook, My Space, Twitter etc but too many entrepeneurs fail to realise the potential of these vast oceans of prospects that can be reached by a little research and a few mouse clicks.

Not to mention the set and forget social bookmarking software which ensures your website gets ranked by Google, how well it ranks depends on other factors such as SEO.

How To Do It?

It’s surprisingly simple, mostly fun and rather addictive watching messages from your autoresponder flow effortlessly and constantly into your inbox and ultimately dumping money into your bank account.

There’s always pay per click which can bring instant results but heck that’s another story for another day.

Social networking can also bring in fast results but mostly it will take a few weeks before you see the money come in but when it does you’re off and running.

Assuming that you are good at what you do, you have a sound business based on integrity and always view it from the customers perspective you can’t go wrong. Customers don’t care less about you and why shold they?

Begin with setting up your profile on one of these sites. Make it professional looking and interesting.

Don’t try to sell your product or service right away, people will spot that and will usually take a wide berth even if you have discovered the secret to looking like you were at the age of 18.

The trick here is to get involved.

Make sure that you make friends within the framework of your target audience. If you are in the baby niche for example you will want to make friends with women with babies, simple. You can find specific groups by utilising the search facility, (stay at home moms for example).

Post regularly and gently let people know that you are the expert in your field until you feel right to pitch your product, it sounds difficult but once you get started you will realise just how natural and easy it is. People need information and will listen to those who can provide what they want, it’s human nature, we can’t help it.

Make sure that you have your autoresponder set up as you can have 1000 prospects within 2 weeks, maybe more depending on how many hours you spend on these sites.

Start a blog immediately (today) and post every day or at least twice a week and always inform your prospects when you have a new post.

You will be surprised at how fast your list grows and like I said it costs nothing but your time.

Making money online is a challenge sometimes.

It’s not the actual selling of your product, I mean if it’s good enough and helps people solve a particular problem people will always buy it.

I have a new site which I submitted to the search engines a couple of weeks ago but when I checked google analytics I’m told that it can’t be indexed. How can this be? If the mighty G doesn’t index my site I’m finished, doomed, back to the day job, working 9-5 and all that, yeah right. It will take more than a few spiders for that to happen.

As it happens, if you have video on your site it can make it difficult for google to index sometimes.

Here is a strange phenomenon for anyone interested in search engine optimisation.

The above title is not exactly gonna win me headline writer of the year BUT.. According to Google analytics “ways to money” should be an excellent choice of keywords for attracting visitors to a website organically (not the paid for variety) ppc.

The funny thing is, 20,000 people typed this exact phrase into their search engine last month!

Another rather shocking stat is that 1900 people couldn’t spell money and typed in mony instead. Maybe if they hadn’t bunked off in their english lessons at school they wouldn’t be needing money so badly? That’s another argument though.

So here’s what happened the other day.

I finally decided to give up my day job and concentrate on making a full time living in internet marketing.

There was no need to tell my boss I was quitting because I was already self employed so I didn’t get the full blown satisfaction of telling my boss to shove it.

It’s not been an easy transition to go from the home improvements industry to being a full time internet marketer. It has taken me many months to learn the skills required to be able to go it alone and I’m still learning all the time, I’ve also had lots of coaching from other successful marketers and spent a small fortune on ecourses.

It’s a great business, all you need is an internet connection, a decent computer and you’re away, plus being able to work completely from home is fantastic.

My goal is to reach a 6 figure income within a year which I think is a realistic target, I’ll wait till next year for the Ferarri.

Gotta go do some keyword research, it’s a tough job but somebody has to do it. The software that enables you to do this is really cool. You can check how many searches people have carried out for a certain keyword which helps you analyse data in a certain market and it’s easy when you know how.

Hey, how are you today guys?

Here’s the thing about Internet Marketing.

Although it makes you money almost on auto pilot if you know how, the desire to learn more about the subject ensures that you are constantly surfing the web for relevant sites and forever researching and checking your mail.

As my father used to say, “the more you learn the more you earn”.

My recent aquisition of Apple’s new 3G iphone has been a welcome addition to my tool box. Apart from it’s cool looks and pant wetting interface, the ease and speed in which it allows web browsing is a tremendous benefit to anyone in the IM business.

Sorry about that geek speak, I promise never to do that again.

Basically speaking, internet marketing is all about providing a solution to a problem and selling it via the internet.

Ahh I hear you say “but how do I come up with a solution, I’m no Einstein”.

The point is, you don’t have to. OK!

There are a gazillion products out there for you to promote and earn a commission, some products are good and some not so, you need to do some research and find out what is and what’s not.

But here’s the cool part..

You don’t need to physically store a inventory of ready to ship products .

You don’t need to invest your hard earned money in stock.

You see, the product is information you can digitally store in your computer’s hard drive which you can downloaded either from an affiliate marketer or a company like Clickbank who have around 2000 digital information products for you to choose from.

You then offer these products to prospective buyers on a global scale so the potential customer base is enormous. 

There are information products on everything from how to improve your golf to how to feed a baby properly. The trick is to reach that specific target audience and market to them, hence the term Internet Marketing.

Today was a great day!

I mean, guys come on, it just doesn’t get any better than sleeping until 10am, getting out of bed, checking your email and finding a message saying “congradulations you have made a sale”.

Now for me this is truly awsome, I still can’t get my head round this.

When I’m asleep, I’m very asleep, In fact I’m so deeply asleep I’m practically dead. So for me to earn money on the net whilst I’m asleep is simply amazing. I can’t thank my internet marketing mentors enough for teaching me the skills that have helped earn me the easiest cash ever.

For 20 years I have been in business and have never experianced anything like this. 

As Donald Trump said “You aint makin money till you’re making it in your sleep”.

He was right, it’s just an amazing feeling and I’m committed to finding ways to make even more.

The trick is to have a product which helps people.

Something that benefits people, fulfils a need, solves their problems.

Making money on line in your sleep certainly achieves that and I want to share these secrets with my friends.
